Photography Workshop for Emotional Well-Being

  • Tampere Intercultural Art Centre 10 Pirkankatu Tampere, Pirkanmaa, 33230 Finland (map)

Do you find it challenging to express your emotions verbally or work with them consciously? What if you’d use your camera instead?

Emotion identification is like having a compass for your inner world. It equips you to navigate your life with greater clarity and resilience. In this workshop, we tighten the knot between photography and emotional well-being, by focusing mainly on how photography can become your therapeutic tool in understanding your emotions and calming yourself in moments of stress.

This workshop is a perfect fit if you…

  • Have an interest in photography

  • Wish to explore and comprehend your emotions better

  • Seek creative coping mechanisms for a calmer life

  • Want to develop your creative skills

  • Are interested in practice mindfulness

By the end of the course, you will…

  • Acquire practical tools to identify your emotions

  • Develop your creative photography skills

  • Learn neuroscience: how our brain works so you know how to work with your difficult emotions next time they come

  • Learn to practice mindfulness in a creative way

*Any camera is accepted, including your smartphone’s camera. Note that this course is not a therapy course and it not intended to treat any disease.
