Terms and Conditions for Creative Harmony Events and Services
These terms and conditions apply to all workshops, events, courses, walks, trainings, and commissions organized by Creative Harmony With Luiza ("I," "me," or "my") whether they are held online, in-person, or hybrid. By participating in or registering for any of my offerings, you agree to the terms below.
1. Acceptance of Terms
Booking or participating in an event (free or paid) constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Full payment or partial payment (if agreed upon) must be received prior to participation.
2. Participation & Responsibility
All participants join workshops and events voluntarily and at their own responsibility. I am not liable for any personal injury, property loss, health issues, or accidents that may occur during the events. Outdoor and nature-based activities are subject to weather and environmental risks.
Participants under the age of 18 are welcome but must provide written consent from a parent or guardian or be accompanied by a responsible adult or teacher.
3. Photography and Creative Output
During events, participants may take photographs and contribute visual material. I may also take photos or videos of participants for documentation, educational purposes, social media, and promotion of my courses and workshops.
Consent by Registration: By registering for the event, participants acknowledge that their photos or videos may be used in documentation, social media posts, promotional materials, or project reports. Participants are expected to read and agree to the terms upon registration.
Opt-out options: If you do not wish to appear in photos or videos, you can opt out at the time of registration or at the beginning of the workshop/event. I will fully respect your request and avoid including you in any materials.
Use of images: I may select and edit participant photos with care and respect to create curated series, social media posts, marketing materials, or project reports.
Participant rights: Participants retain the rights to their own photographs. I will not use your images for exhibitions or commercial purposes beyond promoting my workshops or events without explicit verbal or written consent. Group photo sharing is optional and will only include those who agree.
4. Mental Health & Support
While my events may promote emotional well-being, mindfulness, and healing through creativity, I am not a licensed therapist or mental health professional. I am a certified art teacher and visual artist. If I observe that someone may benefit from additional mental health support, I may refer them to trusted mental health professionals or organizations, but I do not offer psychological treatment.
Sensitive personal information may be shared with me during events. This will be treated with strict confidentiality and only used to evaluate the effectiveness of workshops or support individual experience. In exceptional cases, such as threats of self-harm or harm to others, I may be required to report this information to the appropriate parties for safety reasons.
5. Invoicing & Payments
Most services are paid by invoice via trusted third-party platforms (e.g., UKKO.fi). For larger projects, a 50% deposit may be required before the start of the project, with the remaining 50% due upon completion. Payment confirms your reservation.
In some cases, I collaborate with schools, universities, or other organizations, and courses or workshops may be purchased through their platforms instead. The payment method depends on the specific arrangement and will be communicated beforehand.
6. Cancellation & Refund Policy
If you cancel:
4+ weeks before the event: 75% refund
2–4 weeks before: 50% refund
Less than 2 weeks: no refund
In case of illness or emergency, you may request to transfer your spot to another date, if available.
If I need to cancel, you will be offered a full refund or a rescheduled date. I cannot reimburse travel or accommodation costs.
These terms apply to courses and workshops published on my own website. For events organized in collaboration with other schools, universities, or organizations, cancellation policies may vary depending on their platform or internal rules. Any specific terms will be communicated beforehand.
7. Inclusivity & Respect
Creative Harmony with Luiza is a safe, inclusive space where cultural diversity, neurodiversity, and all gender identities are respected. All participants are expected to treat each other with kindness and respect. Discrimination or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.
8. Intellectual Property
All materials, exercises, or content shared during the events (written, visual, verbal) are the intellectual property of Creative Harmony With Luiza and are for personal use only. They may not be used commercially, reproduced, or distributed without written permission.
9. Research and Consent
By registering for a Creative Harmony event, you acknowledge that some anonymized data—including your feedback, answers to quizzes, and photographs taken during the workshop—may be used as part of an ongoing research project on the benefits of therapeutic photography.
I aim to respect your privacy and not be invasive. Any data used for research will be fully anonymized, ensuring that individual participants cannot be identified.
I will always ask for explicit consent before the event regarding:
The use of photographs you take,
Photographs that include you, and
Any written or verbal contributions (e.g., feedback, reflections, questionnaire responses).
The purpose of this is to responsibly accelerate research in the field while prioritizing participant privacy and comfort.
10. Changes to These Terms
I reserve the right to update these terms and conditions. Any updates will be published on my website.
