Artist Statement
I am a multi-disciplinary artist exploring time, space, and perception. In my art practice, the base of all my art-experiements are usually photography and/or moving image. I combine those with mixed-media techniques such as using eco-art, writing, drawing, or painting, or interactive technologies. My exhibitions usually take the form of immersive installations, where photography merges with sound, textiles, natural objects and spatial design to create multi-sensory interactive experiences.
The way how I work is more often than not to allow the creative process to unfold organically, giving it time to reveal subconscious narratives that may surface months or even years after the work is created. An advocate for therapeutic photography, I use the camera as a tool for introspection, capturing the interplay between the subconscious and conscious mind.
