Luiza Castellanos Preda (b. 1996) is a Romanian contemporary artist working across photography, installation, and socially engaged art practices. Her work explores the perception of time through long-term photography series and how art can transform our experience with the environments we inhabit, with a particular interest in nature and sensory experiences.
Castellanos Preda also created Creative Harmony in 2023, an art initiative exploring art-making through photography as a form of social well-being and community engagement.
Her work has been exhibited internationally in art galleries and museums in Romania, Finland, Germany, Italy, Slovenia, and the United States. She has received several cultural grants from the municipalities of Tampere and Espoo in Finland between 2022-2026 and has developed interactive art installations for public and private-sector partners, such as Nokia and Espoo City in Finland.
She holds a BFA in Photography and Videography from the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca and a BA of Culture and Arts in Fine Arts, from Tampere University of Applied Sciences. She is currently pursuing a MA of Culture and Arts in Creativity and Arts in Social and Health Fields at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences.
