Creative Photography For Self-Expression and Emotional Well-Being

Photography is not only about capturing shapes and colors — it can also hold the trace of how we felt in a single moment. What if picking up your camera could be more than documentation — what if it could be a way to relax, to play, and to connect with your emotions? In this workshop, photography becomes a gentle, creative practice: a space for curiosity, calm, and imagination.

“You don't have to be good at art, for the arts to be good for you.”

– Dr. Christina Davies

This November, over the course of two days, we will explore photography as a creative practice that awakens both your artistic eye and your emotional awareness simultaneously. Through hands-on exercises, you will experiment with composition, light, and visual storytelling in ways that are playful, inspiring, and insightful. We’ll use a variety of objects, natural light, lamps, and other light sources to spark creativity and experiment with new ways of seeing.

Guided creative well-being prompts, a short outdoors photo walk, and reflection exercises will help you connect with your emotions and translate them into visual stories. We will also use specially designed emotion cards as a gentle tool to guide your exploration.
