Well-being Photography: Introduction Course

“You don't have to be good at art, for the arts to be good for you.”

– Dr. Christina Davies

This course offers a gentle and creative introduction to how photography can support  emotional balance, an active lifestyle, and everyday holistic well-being.

Through slow looking and simple visual practices, you’ll explore how colours, light, composition, and attentive seeing can deepen your connection with yourself and your surroundings.

*The course is grounded in current research from arts and health, neuroscience, and emotional well-being, translated into simple practices anyone can use.

What will you do in this course?

– explore how art and emotions influence the nervous system and the brain
– learn accessible emotional well-being tools to reduce stress and cultivate clarity
– take part in a 2–3 hour outdoor well-being photo walk
– experiment with photography indoors using different props (you can bring your own as well!)
– reflect on your images and what they reveal about your inner landscape
