Justicia

(2020)

Justicia exists as a tribute to all women who have endured and continue to endure physical violence and is in itself an act of collective grief.

Two men wearing handmade animal masks of a tiger and a wolf and an unmasked woman move through public space looking for as many women as they can to offer them a hug, engage with them in an conversation, and give them a small yellow note bearing the word Justicia. Each woman can place the note in the city wherever she chooses.

This art performance has been preserved as a raw 360 video as it unfolded on the streets of Toluca, Mexico, for several hours in February 2020.
