Weather Details creates a visual monthly calendar of a meadow’s unseen transformations in Espoo, in Southern Finland, while reflecting on the ecological and emotional importance of such places in a time of accelerating environmental loss. The project is the result of weekly slow photo-walks in Latokaskeniitty field for 3 full years. This slowness and consistency reveals how nature’s details can hold entire worlds we can learn from - and that through such close attention, we can strengthen our connection to the natural world and our responsibility to protect it.

This work sits at the nexus of art and ecology, asking what emerges when we allow nature to become our teacher in building resilience and navigating change. Weather Details becomes an archive of local nature in Espoo, revealing how deliberate, durational observation can offer new pathways toward ecological consciousness.

*The current selection down below presents preliminary samples from the ongoing study. The project is financially supported by Espoo Cultural Unit, Finland and will be published in 2027.
