Nordic Weather Details

(2023-on-going)

Nordic Weather Details documents two years of daily photo walks to a 30-hectare wild field in Southern Espoo, Finland. The practice began with simple observation during these routine visits—usually at sunrise or sunset—watching this working landscape change through seasons and weather. Organized as a visual calendar, the series shows how the same place transforms throughout the year. This regular attention reveals subtle details: how morning light shifts, the way crops and wild plants grow and die back, the patterns of snow and rain across open farmland. The field is ordinary, an accessible agricultural landscape within the urban area that becomes meaningful through consistent observation.
