Art Detectives: Seeing with New Eyes
"Art Detectives: Seeing with New Eyes" is a fun and engaging workshop where young minds become art detectives, exploring an art exhibition through photography. Designed for 3rd graders, this hands-on experience teaches students to appreciate art by focusing on key elements like color, shape, texture, size, emotion, and light.
Location: Merirasti Kultturitila, Helsinki
Participants: 3rd graders from Ressu Comprehensive School, Helsinki
Duration: 2 hours
Group Size: 45 students
Event Activities:
Art Exploration: A guided tour where students learn to identify and analyze visual elements in art.
Photography Adventure: After the tour, kids take on fun photo challenges to capture what they’ve learned
Creative Teamwork: Pupils collaborate in teams to play the photo games
Learning Outcomes:
Photography Practice: Hands-on experience with photography basics, such as framing and capturing different subjects.
Art Exhibition Interaction: Students will learn what to look for and how to engage with artworks in an exhibition.
Art Appreciation: Students will develop an understanding of how to observe and appreciate art in different forms.
Creative Exploration: Through engaging games, students will explore key concepts for visual communication.
